Anyone know if SEEG seat fits well on a standard Road King?
« on: August 14, 2011, 02:06:58 AM »

Have a nice Corbin touring solo saddle to put up for sale.  It is made for the 04-05 SEEGs so know it will work with those bikes and the five gallon tank Street Glides as they use the same dash.

Not sure if they mate to the dash well on a standard Road King or the Road King Custom though.  If anyone knows for sure (either positively or negatively) let me know.  Thanks.

Don,, the Roak King seats and the SEEG seats are interchangeable   I ordered a comfort stitch seat a few years ago for mine and I picked one out that was specified for a RK.  Fit perfectly. So I would say yes to that one.

Thanks Stu.  I know the Road King seats fit well enough over the end of the SEEG's dash.  So was assuming the reverse would be ok also.  Just fishing for specific confirmation of someone who'd tried it.

Patience Grasshopper.  Will probably be listing it for sale shortly.  Want to work with fitment just a bit before doing so.  If/When it becomes available it'll be this saddle (shown here on the SEEG).

It has a matching backrest and the Corbin V-rail.  The backrest might also go if the seat is offered.  I'd keep the V-rail.

Twolane, Did you install the saddle bag guards on your bike? I have the same year bike and think I need to install them for protection If and when I fall over! Tony

Yes.  And for the same reason.  Was one of the first things I did after bringing the bike home new.  No crash bars (at either end) is a concession to appearance that I won't make.
