"New" Rider on the Block

Just signed as New Member.  Live in DC Metro area.  Just returned to riding after many years (wife [girl friend at the time] wouldn't ride.  Bought convertable ('02 M-B CLK55 Cabrio) to satify us both, then last fall she saw a '11 CVO Road Glide Ultra at a dealership and said "I want that one" (Mid-Life Crisis???).  It took 9 months to get the deal and bike we wanted (Dealer took Benz as trade).  The wait was worth it.  Been out riding every chance we get (got caught in a big rain last weekend.  Wife got her "Biker Baptism" and still loved it!!).  Kids can't get enough either.  Trying to get them to buy their own "scooters".  Daughter wants Heritage Softail Classic and son is into Dyna Wide Glide.  Your site has great info from other riders.  Looking forward to prosperous relationship.

Welcome from Texas. I understand about wanting the kids to get theirs. My son is 24, he wants to ride my 99 RK all the time. I tell him, why don't you get your own bike, he says, I will just ride yours. Oh well.
