Most of the dealerships in Nor Cal are MSRP.  Depending on what models you're looking for.....there are several CVOs on the floors at Sacramento and Folsom.

Defiantly worth a trip to California, maybe a fly and ride  :nixweiss: Guideras in Yuba City has 3, maybe 4 CVO on their floor, about 40 mins north of Sacramento...  :2vrolijk_21: Guideras also will sale MSRP, and they have been known to throw in a few extras, i.e. Riding clothes etc...

Shops in PA wanted $4k over MSRP, I was doing a job in SC in Feb 2011 and they told me $2k off MSRP and they drove 2.5 hours to pick up the bike.  They called me up and said the bike is here  BUT the interest on the loan is 4.9% (they quoted me 3.9%) I told them to put to drop the price $720 or put the bike back on the floor. 4 days later they called back dropping the price $720.  IMO it depends on how bad you want the bike. The 3.9% financing is what sold me.

Let me chime in.  Although a special situation, I paid 9% below MSRP via Military Sales while I was deployed for 11 months to Iraq.  Had the bike shipped to Cowboy HD in Austin and they had it all set up before I returned.  I returned to Ft Hood and got reconnected with my beautiful wife, son, and two daughters-one of which was born while I was home on R&R.  After seeing them it was off the Cowboy to see the bike-what could be better than that  ;D

Great..!  I am glad you are safe and sound!

Thanks for the tip.  I hope I never break down in Seattle and have to get dealer service.  (Pretty remote possibility, no pun intended.)

Purchased my 08 Road King CVO at MSRP in Ocala, FL; and my wife's 2010 FLSTSE at MSRP at the Pensacola, FL dealership (with $500 dealer funny money to spend on anything - accessories, clothes, pipes, etc.)

Get on the phone and call.  Ready money talks.  As a member already suggested, it be a nice flight there and bike ride back.

Keep the shiny side up!!

Not all of them brother.
Z&M in Greensburg PA is always MSRP plus 20% off all products and service at purchase, plus a one time 20% off card to use at a later date, plus 1,000 service.
Not as good as some of the guys are getting, but it's consistent each and every day.

INCREDIBLE!!!!  I would normally post this in the third party for sale area, but I'm not posting to help the guy sell his bike.  It's not enough that the dealers ask $6 over MSRP....here is a private seller with a used bike doing the same thing:

Actually, that thought didn't occur to me.  I can see the situation clearly now:  Husband buys bike without wife's permission, wife says "the bike goes or I go", husband gives in and offers bike for sale, no bidders on the sale while wife has time to cool off.  Pretty good psychology now that I think about it.  Thanks, Spyder, for the insight.   ::)

Wow, some of you guys work some great deals. While I got MSRP, I was an idiot when paying their inflated prices for ESP w/T&W, setup fees, registration fees and that damn Trident. I allowed myself to get caught up in the buy thing. The biggest thing I really hate is I allowed them to lie to me and tell me that 90 % of the ENCS bikes had problems. They knew full well that I was working in Iraq and am retired military but they could see that I was interested and went for the jugular. I whine about this a lot, sorry 'bout that but it bugs the f outta me. A new Harley was to be my final hurrah present to myself for working overhere. If any military are reading this I know you're smarter than me but don't allow these b$%^ards to steal a benefit that Harley is granting us. Dealership experience?!?!? F that, I will only buy through ENCS while possible and avoid the dealerships. I don't want any dealer hype...cuz I'm stupid and allowed them to work me. That's why I like to buy online where I can see the deal and evaluate the entire costs. I got too caught up in the moment. Limburger with my whine please. Could care less if I come across as a puss if I can help one service member avoid this pitfall.

At least I cancelled their inflated ESP and got a better deal at Cutter (saved about $900) and now I'm refinancing through another source and saving 3.1%. Trying to make up for my stupidity.

check with Jamie at Columbia down south in Vancouver, WA. He did not have what I wanted for 6 months but gave me a list of NW dealers that had the exact model & color I wanted. WA dealers wanted $2,000 over, ended up in Idaho. They did my friend good on total cost with accessories but he had to wait.

Been awhile but did not find any WA dealers willing to go lower than $1,600 above MSRP + shipping. It was 3 years ago, but Albany & Eugene in Oregon used to charge straight MSRP + shipping.

Vancouver & Albany did not have as large inventory as the bigger dealers. Of course you are going to need to settle with a local dealer for "service" & what they call a warranty.

So in the Seattle area we have more HD shops then you can imagine.  Like 6+ within an hour of seattle. I have reached out to several and recieved the same response.  Some want $2,000 over MSRP and others want $5,000 over MSRP.  So bascially you have to pay a $2,000-$5,000 bribe to be allowed to purchase the bike.  I am trying to buy two of them and they still won't budge on the bribe money.

I have a hard time with that...  Are my dealership abnormal or is that pretty much what I will face buying from out of state as well.

Monolyth

The Seattle area must be awash in jobs and people willing to over-pay. :o Truly amazing!

Friend of mine has grown kids who took jobs in Seattle several years ago.  When they went house hunting the normal procedure was to make an offer higher than the asking price.  WTF?  It was a seller's market and buyers were trying to outbid each other to get the property.  Market has cooled of course but still some crazy stuff.
