CVO WORTH IT?
« on: August 13, 2003, 08:52:22 AM »

I'm still waiting on my 2003 SERK, It's due here in 10 days to two weeks. I'm starting to have second thoughts on if it's worth it. I have owned quite a few harleys in my life, and have always wanted a screamin eagle, but as the due date gets closer I'm asking myself if it's worth it. All you SERK owners, let me know how you are liking your bikes, and if you think that all the extras they put on them are worth the extra price. I know they are limited production runs, but I'm giving up a 03 Fat Boy that I really like in order to get this bike.
Thanks

well your basic 03 RK starts at $16,215 and your 03 SERK starts at  $27,995 then look at what you are getting for that extra money...

big bore cylinders         $300
big bore pistons            $120
new cams                      $260
stroker kit                       $1300
hydraulic clutch kit         $700
profile reaer suspension $275
spun aluminum wheels    $1220
mufflers and end caps     $300
oil cooler                          $300

plus a long list of $50-100 items that more than make up the difference. and you dont have $6000 worth of take off parts in your garage. thats how i weighed the decision to get mine
