is the lower grey on the Yellow and Silver bikes the same?
« on: September 25, 2011, 01:49:24 PM »

Sorry.. its been a while....

there are no yellow '09's here to compare, only 2 silvers and 1 orange...

The lower color on the Silver/Titanium bikes, versus the Yellow/Slate gray (or is it slate gray)

how close are they?

As I recall it's Charcoal Slate.

Stardust Silver with Titanium Dust, Yellow Pearl with Charcoal Slate, and Electric Orange with Vivid Black.

Unlike the regular models, where they'll use a combination of the same colors over several years, it seems that the MoCo will change colors just 1/4 of 1 shade difference, just to keep colors from matching (just so it's "unique"). :nixweiss:

I had the blue and black 04 SEEG (Cobalt blue, they called it) and bought the 10 SESG (Candy Concord they call it) and I had to put the two bikes side by side to really see the difference.  And........the 10 SESG in reality is more of a Cobalt color while the 04 SEEG is more of a Concord blue (if there is such a thing). :nixweiss:

The titanium is lighter than the chrcoal... but hard to tell in the pics exactly how much.

Guess I gotta ask Larry B how much to repaint a set of lowers to make it OCD compliant. Nothing is chaep fo HD
