Some friends were playing Vegas this past Sat. and being at the same hotel as Barrett-Jackson we couldn't pony up the $250.00 plus for a room. Bummer! Once our friends from Florida heard this things changed. We got a call on Wednesday, "Get your a$$'$ up here and you can have one of our rooms". How can we turn that down? Southern Rock and some of the best cars to be found, I'm in heaven.
Had some free time before the show, so Donna and I walked in the out door and right in to the main auction floor. Acting like we belong, we just went everywhere we could before we our feet gave up the ghost. Here is some of the pictures I did take.

1967 1968 1969 1970, same owner sold all. Big Blocks, Black, Rallys, Red Stripe. I just wanted the ZL-1 1969, if you don't know it, 69 were built, all alum. 427 bad to the bone AMERICAN MUSCLE! As Tim Allan would say "R R R R"

Damn I don't think I could have sold those if I was lucky enough to own them all. But hell... we don't know what he has left in his garage do we??

Scottsdale in January may be on my radar as my friend is selling ~ 25 cars from his collection at this event.

It was a real treat for me. I love my Harley, and the wife loves to ride. That is why we have a bike and not a street rod, can't afford both. The time spent with each-other and our riding friends can't be matched with a car. But someday in the future I will have a classic again, maybe that 1959 El Camino that I dream about.
Sometime while we're sitting around the camp fire I will tell you about Metro and Security coming to our room at 12 am, looks on their faces was priceless!
