last week i got temporally worried about my business in the UK and thought i should maybe sell my CVO road glide, i contacted a couple of websites who buy bikes in the UK and was told by both that my bike is worth £16000 bit of a drop from £29000 in 4 months

As global economies rise and fall, the value of stuff will change drastically. I've always said that something is worth exactly what the next guy will pay you for it. In uncertain economic times, Blue Book values will not be accurate.

more importantly, what is the insurance value?

but don't forget if they offered you £16k UKP allow for their markup and forecourt price will be £24k
at the end of the day they couldn't sell it below a new standard ultra. There has to be a value on the add-ons.

the moment a new motorcycle - or car - has been registered it looses around 40 5 of its value, simple fact.
