Fuel pump quit
« on: October 16, 2011, 05:00:09 PM »

Not a fuse as the bike would start and then not start over a period of a few days. Now the pump won't turn on at all. I assume there is a relay some where. Anybody know where it's located or have any other ideas?

It was the relay under the left side cover. The black one next to the white one.

I just had the same issue, the system relay went crazy and finally the fuel pump stopped working (no pump sound when IGN on).

To verify if it is really the system relay you can do a simple check by just exchanging the black system relay with the grey starter relay (located just next to each other), IGN on and listen if you can then hear the fuel pump. If you can hear the pump noise for 2 seconds with the relays exchanged with each other you know that it is the black system relay which is defective.

just a simple way to check for this kind of problem.

Cheers,
