170 rear tire?

will a 170 tire  fit on the rear of  a 2005 sefb

No!, the tyre will have somewhere between 1/16 & no clearance between it & the belt. The fender side clearance would also be a problem & rub on at least one side if not both sides. Try & fit your fingers straight up the side of your fender.

PS: 170/70 x 16 is not a very common tyre. I did look into this before deciding on the 200 (& the obsene amount of money on the parts to do so, probably could have gone to 240 or 300 for similar money but wanted to keep the rideability with the 200). If I was able to get the 170 in there, it would have left no running clearances it was far too close for comfort.
