A lesson learned
« on: October 31, 2011, 12:38:54 PM »

Hello all was out riding the other night was on a dark road and was just giving the front brake a squeeze when i realizied i was on a palm font in the road the front tire tucked under and i was off for a ride tried to correct the bike but to no luck i know its a choice to wear a helmet ive chose not to on occasion luckily i was wearing my 3/4 on this night after calling rescue the first thing they asked me was i wearing a helmet and then they went to look at my helmet i know i banged my head off the pavement cause i was aware of what was going on now after knee surgery and a broken tibia im on my way to recovery pumpkin did well not even a scratch as i was in the hospital and seen my son walk in i realized why i will always wear a helmet from now on im not hear to preach but for all of us who do not wear helmets think of the pain we woud cause to those who love us

I never wore a full face helmet until after I recovered from a shattered jaw.  Fortunately it didn't ruin my good looks to much. ???

Prayers are sent.....wishing you a speedy recovery. :2vrolijk_21:

Todd,

Glad your doing well, thanks for the reminder about helmets.  I wear one 99% of the time, now it will be 100%.

Get well and get back on that scoot!
