Magoo:

There is an auxilliary plug (an orange and a ground) somewhere to the right side (front brake). It is an ignition controlled line. Don't know if you need hot while the bike is off????? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

There must be one going to the radio (for the clock) that's always hot.  Test light or service manual should reveal which one it is.  If you only need it hot while the bike is on, most inner-fairing-installed accessories that I know of (high output horn & XM radio, for example) tie into the cigarette lighter for juice.

To avoid jacking into already done wiring, I ran a hot lead from the battery to a fairing mounted switch - under the gas tank and up into the fairing.

Magoo,

I run my GPS from the wires for the cigarette lighter. If I want to keep it on I just put the key in the ass'y mode and it has power.
I also ran the voice for it to the mp3 plug, when I need to hear the voice flip on the acc and I can hear it through the Harley radio and adj the vol for it.

Thank for the input guys.  I think I will run it back to the battery because I want it hot all the time.
