Passenger Footpegs

I know this is trivial, but my passenger footpegs will not stay in the up position. Maybe I should put some glue on  them! - I don't use them. Does anyone have a better idea?

had two spring washers fitted to mine at the 12 month service and it cured the problem

I have the exact same thing, after I ride a little while it drops down on it's own...I'll have my dealer do the washers when I pick up the bike after winter storgae so thanks for the suggestion...Don
