A fellow CVO owner was trying to get info from our local dealer today about the colors for the 07 CVO's.  He said that he couldn't give him any information about the new colors, but, he did say "if you like orange and black, you'll like the 07's"

Anyone else heard this rumor?

He couldn't give any info, because he doesn't HAVE any.  It's relatively certain that there will be something in orange.  That's for sure.  But the dealer was talking out his A$$.  

The 07 Color chart shows a "Mirage Orange Pearl" (they couldn't just call it orange) for regular models... so expect alot of orange non-CVO bikes this year.  But as far as knowing what colors the new CVOs will be... he doesn't. :P

Unlikely ;)... the serious volume of bikes that Chicago H-D moves kinda produces in-roads to corporate that some other dealers may not have.  Now that's mostly perception on my part... based on good factual evidence and observation.  That being said, it's logical that the other dealer saw the 07 color chart too, it shows a solid orange, a two-tone orange and silver, and even orange pin-stripe on another color.  That's regular models.  And there's always an orange CVO.  And as a salesperson, it's logical to tell someone you'll have something even if you're just blowing smoke...  So he's right, if you like orange and black you'll like 07's... where's the secret in that?  PLUS... How stupid does a salesperson sound "duh... we don't know anything about the new models".  It makes you way cooooooler to give the perception of secrets you just can't share.  Trust me... or don't... if the owner of one of the largest volume dealers (for 30 years) doesn't know... unlikely that guy knows. The reality is, neither he nor I know anymore than anyone else who isn't directly connected to corporate.  I never believed that before I worked here.  But trust me, it's true.  [smiley=drink.gif]

I think CigarMike said it best in another thread that the 07 SEUltra's would come with the returned tins from the 06 watermelons and crimson's..

Color charts for 2007 models have been at the dealerships for quite some time now.  Three colors are not designated to models, nor are the chips of the colors in the book, but these are the 3 custom colors that Harley annually does on their custom paint program for standard bikes.  Nobody knows what the CVO colors are unless they have been leaked info by corporate friends. :)

Never sure which is less enlightening.  "Facts" without sources or sources that don't matter because the facts still aren't available anyway  ;D .

As nice as that bike looked D00d it was still pretty spartan and even plain-jane compared to what have been the standards for the CVO paint sets the last few years.  Hell, if Harley were to use a straight up simple two-tone paint scheme for our bikes they could actually complete them without incident.
