After giving up riding over 30 years ago, must have gone totally crazy..took Riders Edge class to see if I still had it in me..bought a new Sportster 1200 to practice on..surprising that my wife is the one who almost always wants to go (as passenger) for my Birthday this past January she bought me a new 2012 Blue CVO Softail...and we have been having great fun..have to keep practicing..and afford her constant HD outfits! May have to build her some more closet space!! People that know us and especially her cannot believe we are doing this! Having a blast!
Glad I found this group..learning a lot..

Your topic for the thread is what caught my attention. As the parent of three children I find myself riding less and doing more with my kids before they head off into the world (no complaints). I keep saying to my buddies the bikes don't eat much and they'll be there when I get the time to hop back on them. Kuddos to you.

Hi Stan. You're where I was about 5 years ago. I got back in with a Honda and purchased my first HD last July. I have 3 myself and my youngest is in her 4th year of college with 1 more to go unfortunately, I don't think anyone can get it done in 4 anymore.

You bet'cha! I did the same in 2000 when I moved back to California from Georgia. Kids grown and space in the garage...

You might check out the "Ride Like a Pro' program out your way. You might have to travel a bit to get to it, but they have an excellent beginner and advanced program. http://www.ridelikeaprowestcoast.com/

If you're interested, contact Mark "Ironhorse" in this group. He is the owner and instructor. He may still be enrolling for a March 2nd coarse.

I believe constant training will keep me sharp and ready for those times where you have to step out of the norm.
