2012 FLHTCUSE7 check engine light and Battery discharge light come on

My 2012 FLHTCUSE7 check engine light and Battery discharge light come on at the same time and stay one while riding for about 20 minutes then go off and come on after about an hour of riding.

Anyone else have this happen and what causes it?

My bet, your regulator or stator.  Mine did that a couple times, then drained the battery.  In shop now waiting parts.  Another 12 CVO came in with same issues right after me

yes...a few had problems with there 12' purchases...Regulator is bad and has to be replaced...it was on Nov, 2011 to February 2012 touring model build dates...

Turned out to be the stator which the dealer din not have it went back order. I actually found one at another dealer going to pick it up in the morning. NOt happy that the dealer did not have one at any of their 3 locations....

Same deal on mine.  HD just replaced the voltage regulator- had to take it off a new CVO as he did not have any in stock.
