Highway pegs
« on: May 22, 2012, 02:59:02 AM »

Anyone have any recommendations on new highway pegs? I've played around with the stock pegs, but cant adjust them to meet my short legs. I'm thinking about getting the Kuryakyn Switchblade Foot-pegs, I know that JR has them on his yellow jacket, but am not sure if there are other recommendations out there for those of us that are height-impaired.

Thanks,

These are the ones I had on my 02 Ultra and I loved them. 360* adjustable for any size rider.

I had the same problem with my old highway pegs.  They worked great on my old SG, but with my new scooter having the lowers there just was not enough adjustments to get them back far enough so I switched them out for the Harley long angled and they are perfect  ::). I'm 5' 6".

Thanks for the input. I think the long angled that LovemyCVOgirl mentioned might work out well.

See if you can scrounge up the part number Judy. With my lowers off for the rest of the summer, I'm really loving the extra room on my pegs. Did it change out the whole pegs or just the mounts?

And as this member mentioned...

.... they're not as comfortable with the lowers on. I really miss the pegs I had on my old bike. I'm the same height as he is but sometimes it feels as though my feet are going to slide off the pegs. I also like to lay my feet over the pegs from time to time.

Mike, It is Harley part #50829-07A. Lists for $109.95. I really like that I can put my heels on the boards and reach the pegs with my toe's if I choose. I removed my passenger pegs and used those with these mounts.

Thanks dear. They look pretty much like a fixed position. Not sure if I'd like them that close to my feet but I'm sure others will like them.

Actually Mike they are not a fixed position.  They have like a ratcheting mechanism where they tighten on the highway bars that allows you multiple positions for different angles and the other adjustments can be made by the placement, up or down on the bars.  Where my pegs are attached you see the bolt on the end., this allows adjustment for the angle of the peg itself.

I may have to meet up with you again soon and check them out a little closer.
