Riding Across America – English Spokane Here!
« on: July 25, 2012, 10:34:09 PM »

I have always considered myself to be blessed having been born in the United States of America.  In making such a statement that is not to imply that other continents are any less in their stature just to say I believe myself to be fortunate of that fact.

Another one of the many blessings I have been graced is to have the opportunity to ride this great land I live in.  And so I am off for my next adventure Spokane, WA for the West Coast GTG!  My plans will take me down some new and old territory which I am anxious to experience and relive!

Over the course of the next several days you will have the opportunity to share some of this experience with me.  The purpose of my sharing is not to boast but to give back to those of you that have shared your trips here too.  You see for me I extract so much from those reports and if you are like me I hope to benefit others along the way.  Of course if you just want to join in on the ride, hop aboard because here we go…

In full disclosure this year’s West Coast ride almost did not happen for me.  I have been faced with so many events that it appeared it would not be a possibility but it was not in GOD’s plan.  Isn’t great that his will be done!

So before I really started my journey I must conduct some business in TN so why not ride some of the “Trace”?

This bridge is located near Nashville on the Natchez Trace which is over 440 miles long.

So you are on the “Trace” and you are near Nashville…where do you stop?  Well what about The Loveless Café?

Martha Stewart said…”The best breakfast I’ve ever had!”  Of course she did have perhaps some poor ones while incarcerated…

Work is done!  Now it’s time to get rollin’…First stop would be in Kansas…It was plenty hot in the afternoon!  I had never experienced the feeling I got with I assumed was dehydrated.  Stopped a lot and finally had to call it a day.  Earlier than I had wanted but was getting a little dizzy.  Besides if you have seen on field you have seen them all right?

Next day I had some business to attend to and then on the roll again heading towards Colorado.
