Well, maybe not "interesting" but I'm getting mine set up for my return back to the states and the trip that will be from Dallas, TX to Southern MD. I bought it at a dealer in TX from here in Afghaistan and am riding it home (Southern MD) during my R&R. I had saddle bags, a sissy bar/luggage rack, D&D Fat cat, and dyno tune done on it in preparation for the journey. Oh and lights in the sissy bar as well. The trip should be a great time. We're hitting the Tail of the Dragon and a few other places on the way up. Like I said, maybe not interesting but at least an update and a hope to keep the thread alive!!!!!

It sounds like you have set your bike up nicely.  I have set up mine with detachable bags for when I need to travel.  If you can, please post some pictures of you and your bike on the trip.  You should have a wonderful ride.  Thank you for your service.  As a retired USAF CMSgt, I have nothing but admiration for your sacrifice for this country.
