2012 Biketoberfest
« on: October 18, 2012, 09:54:03 PM »

This year’s Biketoberfest marks its 20th anniversary and for many it is referred to as “Bike Week Lite”.  There may be some truth to that reference however there are still over 200,000 bikers that come to this event.  The usual watering holes are open and ready for your coin, vendors from across the country make this as one of their last stops for the season, and the beach becomes less crowded for the pretty ladies to display their assets.

Our first haunt would be Daytona Harley-Davidson…

At first entry it would appear that many of the usual suspects are here for their final event of the year…

Could this be due to Cost?  Economy?   Interest?  Lack of Sales not producing the necessary Return on Investment?  Fuel Prices?  Less Manufacturers?  More Stimulus Required?    :nixweiss:

This place would normally be packed with bikes, even with the model year change.

I was informed that the only 2013 bikes for sale were two CVOs…speaking of which they were not giving away either!

So what do you with your prime real estate (display table) when you cannot or do not have any bikes for sale?  Well of course you make it an area for the corpse!

Yeah I know it’s not a 2012!  HA!  But what a steal at that price!  Who said we are in a downward economy?     ;)

Now while you are at the Daytona Harley-Davidson compound be sure to visit the Coca-Cola arena.
