I don't know but I wish it was as easy as saying I am 5'7" tall. Who else is my height and can reach their bars comfortably? What size bars do you have sir? Where did you get them? GUESS I AM DREAMING!

I'm 5' 6" on a good day, Wayne - see my comment above on 575s.

I can tell you that the 575s do get the grips closer than the stock bars - at least on my '07 cuse2 and my '12 cuse7.

They, do, but a lot of the advantage for us guys with short reach is lost because they are so wide.

Hey 110thunder, Did you have to replace wiring or hydralic lines for those bars. If so could you please let me know what it took to get correct lengths. Just ordered a pair. Thanks for your input earlier it helped me make up my mind. 575's on their way.

Understand Jim.  Wish I had an answer.  From what I've uncovered trying to sort through this is nigh impossible since you cannot really tell from the specs exactly what the bars might be once installed.  I find that sitting up close really helps with control.  I move my riders backrest to the closest position.  Heck I even shimmed the one on my RUSE when I had it to tilt it more forward and push me up.  If you have not done so you might try that.

Wayne, I cannot speak for Brian but I can tell you that my stock lines - brake, clutch and electrical worked just fine.  Brian has the very same bike as I.

Now my '07 was an entirely different matter.  All the cables and lines had to be lengthened so I was somewhat apprehensive when it came time to add the bars to my '12.  But no problem at all.

Go for it.  I think you will like it.   :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks ultrafixer. I am pretty sure my 2011 is pretty close to your 2012. Hopefully I wont have to add any more wires or cables.

From the posts I've read here, you may be at the mercy of the clutch and brake line manufacturer on how tight a tolerances they keep on lengths.  The majority have not had to replace lines for the 575s and I did not, either, but a few folks have had to.  The tech said it would have started getting iffy he needed another inch or so, but no problems, as-is.  Wiring is fine, too.

My dealer did the install.  Not something I'd feel comfortable doing and it only ended up costing me about $200 in labor with some warranty work that was being done on the cruise switch, anyway, and some service specials they were running at the time.

Had the dealer do mine along with the H-D Premium Ride Cartridge system.  But last month I helped a buddy install Wild One 10" Apes on his 2011 CVO Road Glide Ultra.  Since this was the first time either of us had tackled such a job it took quite a while - about 7 or 8 hours total due to the learning curve and taking it slow and sure.  If I did one again I'm sure it would not take nearly as long.  Not too bad a job and we had no problems.

But doing it alone but have been a major league pia.  You definitely need a helper, and, oh yeah, definitely need the service manual.

after wo578 rolled down closer to rider,I wanted my hands to stay below the fairing but wanted some height. Bars are 1 '' wider on each side not much differance but hey whats 2'' unless....... anyway love the 578s higher wider closer . Pull Back is a relative thing most often a line extended from the fork angle back to the tips of the grips. my bars are rolled back to be closer to me as far as they will without touching console when turned lock to lock, or you can roll forward to the fairing for that fists in the wind look . if you want a usable measurement, tape from inner/outer fairing line to center end cap . Mine is 13.25 ''

Bars are almost to close and Im 5' 9', I may have to roll forward a frazz . I selected the wo578s for the range of adjustment they offer. Look on wild 1 s website at brad lawsons 2012 cuse to see the high look
