Dumb Question On Breakout...
« on: November 06, 2012, 04:09:20 PM »

Is the new Breakout a facelifted Deuce?

I see a lot of similar lines to both.

Just asking...

Thanks.

I say no for numerous design reasons, but I don't have a problem if it is.  The Deuce was a fantastic bike that's been gone far too long(10 years now).  Nothing wrong with a heavily spruced up Deuce with a little Rocker mixed in, all driven by a 110 beast...that sounds like a recipe for a fantastic CVO to me....

Thanks for the reply.

My buddy has a '03 FXSTDSEI Annie and I've ridden it a few times.  The motor on those Softails is so smooth you have to rev the motor to feel it's running.  I had my '08 SERK Annie at the time and compared to it, the Deuce was very narrow and light handling.  His was just a 95", but it did very well in the speed department.

I liked the '04 color scheme a bit better, but that's just my opinion.

My reason in asking the comparison question is that they seem to have quite a few similar features.  It's isn't that HD has never reissued a new bike by a new name that was close to a previous model.

I like the throwback to the wild flake paint very much.

Nice bikes...  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:  :2vrolijk_21:
