Number of Buyers Selling Their Breakouts

I am always looking around ebay/craigslist/cycletrader/ect., and have noticed quite a few Breakouts already for sale by owner.  Now many of these people are looking to obviously make some money on a limited supply bike, but some are also probably having buyer's remorse and need to unload it.  So, if you are looking for a Breakout check out craigslist in particular (use the nationwide search feature called adhunter) and maybe you can find a really good deal on an awesome bike.

Any idea how many have been released?  I don't trust the cycle trader listings because a lot of dealers list them but when you call them they don't have one or do not know what they're getting.

I know there are 4 local dealers (within 100 miles of me) that Cycle Trader lists, but they are sold or spoken for.

That is insane.  :huepfenjump3:   That's the same bike I posted a pic from St Charles Harley Davidson.  Cant believe the guy is trying to sell it already.

Right now I would guess its break even at best.  St Charles is selling the Breakout at MRSP.  Add delivery and setup, Tack another $2k on for state and local taxes(thank you Missouri), plus maybe $1500 for the dealer to add the V&H pipes and tuner.  No money made there :(

Not sure what the dude is thinking there.  I know from sad experience that mods do NOT increase the value of the bike on resale...

Hey Nicky,

Yes, in fact I posted that on the exhaust thread.  at my house today.  Will be going for the install first thing Friday a.m.....Sunny and 35 here then, and all the salt was washed away days ago.....I'm taking the heated clothing with me to the dealer and with any luck will take a a nice long "installation" lap when they are finished with the job!

I will load the tune Dynojet sent me yesterday, and flip on the "autotune" feature when the exhaust goes on(assuming there are no fitment issues  :'(  )

Agreed- not much profit there- I think he needs to unload it for some reason.

The only cycle trader listings I knew were legit (meaning the bike was actually there) were those that posted actual pictures of the bike.  Most private sellers are going to list on craigslist and ebay.

The only places I have found one is up North and one dealer in Florida.
The ones I have talked to have em marked up $2,000 over msrp

Can't find you close enough to buy.

I guess if someone offered me $30-$35k for my bike, I'd sell it.  Then again, I only have enjoyed 3 miles of riding on it before winter hit in Chicago!
