07 Screamin Eagle Ultra 110 CID
« on: September 11, 2006, 03:31:46 PM »

Just picked up an 07 SE Ultra Classic.  All is well except for the unimpressive exhaust sound......

I can't seem to get any straight answers from the dealer about how to change out the mufflers for LOUDER and DEEPER tones from the exhaust.  I have been told Screamin Eagle won't be offering upgraded mufflers and less restrictive air cleaner system.

I love the big motor and would like to do a "stage 1" type upgrade (mufflers and air cleaner) and tune it with a race tuner kit so the rev limiter won't kick in at 5500 RPM.  Does anyone know if the aftermarket muffler guys have or plan to offer the four inch touring muffler that does not sound like a Honda sewing machine?

Welcome 07 Screamin to the site.  Harley is out of the loud/performance mufflers as you have found out.  Many on this site have changed to V&H Ovals, S&S SPO mufflers (both slip ons), 2-1 pipes/mufflers, and true duals with mufflers.  Do a search under this heading and you can read alot of about what others have done.  Get your air cleaner, SERT, and be done.

I spoke to Supertrapp/Kerker who makes (made) the Screamin Eagle Pro Performance slip-on p/n 65115-98B.  Supertrapp also has a slip-on p/n 128-65115.  They confirm that this is indeed the same muffler and they are still offering it.  May be an option since the moco decided to get out of the non street legal mufflers.

Bubs is working on the Rinehart True Duals for the 110.  Suppose to be ready in November for $899.00.  I've used these pipes on two other bikes.  Well worth the money!

But Ultra...they don't have Screamin' Eagle written on them, so they can't be as fast... ;)

Good to know they're still making them though, as the billet end caps do make them sound better that the other version that's one piece, IMO.

.....And, of course, you are right - the billet end caps do make them sound soooooo much better. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Does the MoCo still offer the end caps, and I wonder if they would fit on the SuperTrapp mufflers? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I noticed on that web page that they have different end caps you can use for their mufflers.

MOCO does still make the end caps and I am pretty sure they will fit the Supertrappe/Kerker. I know for sure they use to.

I did like my father......

We thought Hmmmm....there is a SE Breather.....So therefore must be some minute amount of fuel management for slips...

I bought Wild Pigs (Down Slash)....bolted right on...(Sound Great)....Changed out saddlebag mounts to the same on the SERK and SE Electra....and badaboom....sound.

I have been 150 miles and have pulled the plugs 3 times....they look better than the stock ones....No lights....No Problems...

Dont worry...between the mountain ride, plus Maggie Valley, I will have more miles in the next couple weeks....

I asked my dealer about mufflers also. The Service Mgr. said to wait a while and some of the fiberglass will burn out and it will change the sound. I did like the sound and look (from the rear) of the mufflers on my 2005 SE classic. The 103 cu ran real strong, but, this 110 is amazing. I love this bike !!!!

I was going to wait and get the Rheinhart  2 into one. That they should have in November. I contacted Harley and they have no plans at the moment to make a high flow air cleaner for the 2007 SEUC. So I'm starting to look around for a hf aircleaner. Anybody know of one for this bike (2007 SEUC 110ci)

Tom,

Thats what all that black crap was blowing out of my exhaust the other night in my garage. I was letting it idle for a friend to dee how sick it sounded and i happened to notice some flakes hit the floor behind the main muffler, then as i was watching a pile of it spluged out onto the concrete. You could write your name on the cement with it.  ;D
