Anyone remove the 3 rubber strips off their rear fender?

Anyone:
 a) remove the 3 rubber strips, for the passenger seat, off their fender?
 b) find some small type of cover or flat head for the hole on the fender for the passenger seat bolt?  Might have to engineer one if nothing exist.  Someone commented on a different thread that they had one under their seat.
