Just a thought on the price comparo.  I just ordered my TL/Kury P7 set (HL+2PL) from these folks.  $370 to my door.

Thanks for the link!  :2vrolijk_21: The 7" headlight by itself is $199, I am going to order one right now!

I thought I read somewhere that a trim ring needs to be added due to the Trucklite lens sticking out a little.  Is that true and what did you use?

Thanks

I have the visor style extended trim rings for the headlight and aux lights, so it wasn't an issue with me. The headlight visor goes right over the stock trim ring, but I don't remember if the Trucklite stuck out beyond the stock trim ring or not.

The Version 6 does - quite a bit actually - but the visor style trim ring fills that space quite nicely.  :2vrolijk_21:

I had the TL Phase 6 headlight on my Fatboy and the Phase 7 Aux lights and was told by several people that I rode with that they couldn't see the Aux lights during the day.  I think the JW Speaker(Daymakers) are a better light.  More expensive but I want to be seen that is worth the extra money in my opinion.

Thought I had a picture of my ride with the DL7's installed. I went with the flush bezel trim ring but wish I'd gone with the visor style. Guess I'll have some spare parts to sell off or trade for visor trim rings.

I like the look of the visor trim rings, but put the frenched trim rings.  They look good, but I may change soon.

Not sure about the comment about the Phase 7 driving lights not being visible in the daytime. Mine are fine. I asked others riding ahead of me and they say they're bright.

Bringing this old thread back to life. So 3 years later has anything changed in the light world? Still mainly between Daymakers and Phase 7??? Anything else to consider??

One of my biggest questions, which is brighter during the day? Sounds like they are both a major improvement at night, but what makes people see you better during the day?
