Jagg Fan Assisted Oil Cooler for Softails
« on: March 10, 2013, 01:09:59 PM »

Jagg now has a fan assisted oil cooler kit for Softails.  I installed mine yesterday.  I `ve never thought a standard oil cooler was worth bothering with, but a fan assisted cooler made me go for it.  Looks good and should work great.

Already fitted the HD Premium oil cooler, is it possible to fit the Jagg fan assisted whilst still using the HD?

i also have hd cooler the fan from jagg more then likely won't fit due to the oil filter being in the way and the cooler hose as well  just my opinion

In my experience, the Jagg 10 row oil cooler alone was worth about a 20 degree improvement over the MOCO premium oil cooler (with no fans involved).  If you're going to add a fan, I'd suggest going all the way and get the Jagg cooler.  You can Ebay your MOCO premium oil cooler.

Try also using Schaeffer Oil. When we went to Sturgis last year we asked the guys at FBI what they used to keep their custom bikes cooled. They use Schaeffer so we did the oil change and ran our bikes with them. Huge difference in keeping the bike cooler. He has a CVO Ultraclassic and I had a CVO Streetglide at the time. We just ordered a case so we could use it on the Convertible as well.

Hi Lever,
I have been considering running the two coolers simultaneously ever since seeing the new Jagg fan assisted cooler,
I have emailed Jagg for their feedback but I'm still waiting for a response,
I would really appreciate it if yo keep me updated on you findings,
Thanks, Charlie

Thanks Lever,
Very interested to See how you get on with it!
Not to rub any salt into wounds but i haven't had a day in the last 8 years when weather has been an issue for riding! we only had two rain showers last year and the coldest i can remember it being was 15C  :) i make it a point to ride every Christmas morning and New Years day, just because i can and never could back in the UK!
Thanks Again,
Charlie
