Zippers to release Thundermax for CVO Convertible
« on: March 13, 2013, 07:47:34 PM »

I have been keeping in touch with Zippers waiting for a quality closed loop fuel management system for my '12 convertible they just emailed me that it will be released very shortly and the part number is 309-363.  Just in time for spring :apple:

Have you used a Thunder Max?
I purchased a thunder Max for a 2009 ultra after a PC-5 w/ auto tune standed me. the 09 had a mild pumped up 103. head work ,se 255s
It was great being able to tune at home or the on line up loads but If you dont have a bunch of mods to the motor Im not sure its worth it.
The motor pinged under a load most of the time and had trouble keeping up with aggressive driveing in mountains and the only[ fix ] was run rpms 4000 and above .

I have one on a highly modified 124 2010 CVO.  It runs great, but is too rich.  I'm going to put it on the Dyno soon.  The Thundermax guys were great in helping me get it to run smooth.  I had a bad hesitation off idle.  I sent them my tune and they emailed me back a fix.  It took a few tries, but finally got it.
