2012 CVO RG
« on: April 29, 2013, 11:54:46 PM »

If I'm double posting, I apologize..I dont see my original.

Looking to do some custom paint, and need to find the tins and such so I can keep the originals.  So...2 questions:

1.  Does anyone know of a decent place to get parts?

2.  Would the parts for the standard RG work for the CVO?  I was especially wondering about the tanks as well as the fairing with the speakers.

TIA!

Jeff

Other than finding take offs on line, I think you are stuck with new from the MoCo. The front & rear fenders, gas tank and saddlebags should be the same as the SESG and the fairing is the same as any current style RG. Side covers are all 09 and later touring.

A regular FLTRX gas tank has a center fuel door so it is a different part.

Good luck!

Street Glide and Road Glide have the same bags?  I thought the cutouts were different with the CVO (Totally trying to learn mode here)

Thanks :)

Ifyou are going to swap out bags, you might want to take a look at what JR did:  Re: MY NEW ROAD GILDE Anniversary #61(update 2/23/13).    Just an option...    :nixweiss:

I was referring to the CVO models for both. Just in case you run across a set of CVO SG bags.
