kuryakyn 5499 load equalizer adaptor
« on: May 03, 2013, 09:25:41 PM »

Has anyone installed this load equalizer? What instructions say to do, I can't find it on the bike. Is the tail light connection behind the left side cover? Help

The tail light plug is under the seat on top of the rear fender near the rider backrest bracket.

yeah thats what I thought, but the plugs don't match. The fitment said (This plug-in adapter allows up to two load equalizers to be added to 2010 & later Street Glides & Road Glide Customs when converting from incandescent to L.E.D. or other low-draw turn signals without the need to cut & splice.) But does it fit FLTRXSE2. I just trying not to splice wires.

Caution, you have a different application. Remember you have different tail lights on a CVO. I think you have the wrong equalizer.

Maybe I'm just a bit slow this morning, but why are you trying to add an equalizer?  The bike comes stock with LED tail/brake light units.   :nixweiss:

Yeah it's early Jerry, for the front. I thought I may not need one but it does

You should buy the one in the for-sale section.  Street Magic 8-pin load equalizer by Custom Dynamics

It's plug and play.

Thats what I'm running with no issues.

I got mine on amazon.com  $56.00 delivered

There are 3 of us that I know of first hand that are using this with no issues.
