Just spoke to John (JR) and he and several others went to visit both Arland and Vickie this morning.  We were not able to go with that group as we had another commitment after leaving Rib Fest but we did make it to Nashville about 3 pm and were able to visit with both Arland and Vickie then.  What Joe Vibe reported is pretty much what I understand also.  In spite of broken bones, road rash and in Arland's case heart problems they both seem to be doing pretty well all things considered.  As bad as it is it could always have been worse.  So keep those prayers coming and Godspeed to Arland and Vickie for a complete recovery. :2vrolijk_21:

As Jerry mentioned, several of us rode over from the lodge to see Arland and Vicki. All things considered they both seemed to be in good spirits. They both will have a long recovery and rehabilitation/physical therapy. Vicki said the doc said it will be about 3 months before she will be able to walk as she has injuries to both legs.

Annette and I will continue to pray for their quick and complete recovery.

I've put them both along with their family on a couple prayer lists. May God watch over them along with the doctors and nurses as they begin this road to recovery.

Janet and I went to see Vicki this morning at Vanderbilt. She's doing OK considering what she's been through.  She broke her right foot and ankle and left pelvis and hip. Arland is still in intensive care and we didn't see him. After surgeries to repair the accident damage, he had a heart attack in the hospital. Vickie said the doctors found three blockages. As I remember, Vickie said Arland crushed one of his feet and broke his ankle. Not sure if he had other injuries. Vickie said they would be transporting her to a hospital near her home in Chattanooga Monday or Tuesday and that Arland would follow as soon as he was able.

Vickie told us that they rode up to Barkley Lodge Tuesday, checked into their room and then went to town to get snacks for the room. A truck stopped in front of them and Arland didn't see it in time to react. She said she remained conscious throughout the accident and remembers rolling down the road.

I talked to JR a little while ago and a group from Ribfest were heading to the hospital so they'll probably get more details.

If I get any more info I'll be sure to post it here.

For those that believe knows God works in mysterious ways what better place could Arland have been in to have had a heart attack and doctors find 3 blockages, i have had a lot of strange stuff happen  with my sickness this past winter you had better believe that they are angels and prayers.

I spoke with Vickie today and she sounded so much better and felt much better (Power of Prayer). I let her know how everyone is praying for them and some are adding them to their Church prayer list. I believe in the power of prayer and firmly believe it is the reason she is feeling much better. Goes for Arland too. He is doing much better and has been moved to a room. Sounded great compared to Saturday and believe he has a better sense of who he is talking too since then. Vickie will probably be moved to Chattanooga tomorrow. Arland was moved to room 7031 until at least the 22nd which is when he will have his surgery on his foot. They waiting on swelling to go down. You can send him a card or gifts but he asked that for now, NO phone calls except from me. So if any messages or questions, send me a PM and I will get the message to him or answer anything I can. He can't remember anything from the wreck but Aland and Vickie both think he may have had a heart attack which caused the wreck. Arland and Vickie both expressed how grateful they are to have everyone's concerns and prayers. I told him when I call I will be asking for specific prayer needs so we can be specific in our petitions to the throne of grace! ;) I just praise God for His provisions in this horrific wreck and how the wonderful people of this site responded to show our Love! Awesome! Thanks, please continue praying and God Bless!
