Brembo Brakes
« on: October 02, 2006, 09:48:20 PM »

To all of you who have Brembo Brakes.

Where are you buying your replacement Brake Pads?

Checked with QTM, Brembo Part #500-4000 rears are US $45.00 and Brembo Part #500-4004 fronts are US $122.50 per caliper.

Do Hawg Halter Brake Pads fit Brembo Calipers.

What have you replaced with or have you stayed with Brembo Brake Pads?

Thanks in advance,

Ouch!  What kind of a life span you get out of them?

TwoLaneRider,

On the original bike I had apprx. 12,000 mile on them. On this bike I have over 10,000 miles on them, fronts are still good rears feel a little spongy. Brake Fluid is up, have yet to pull rears.

Looking for pads, as I know I will have to replace them, probably over our winter, which may not be that far off this am 0 deg C (32 dge F) and snow flurries, Better outlook into Thurs/Fri.

Got Brembos on two of the bikes and have not had to replace them yet...one bike low mileage the other one has over 15,000 on the pads.  Still look good.

Geezeglide I got my spares from QTM not sure who else would make them for the 4 pad system up front.  Got a rear set as well.  IMHO they are wll worth the money.

It seems like QTM is the way to go. I'll order after our Thanksgiving Weekend on Tuesday.

Thanks for all of your ideas.
