103tHunDer,

Have you found this to be worth the $480?

Here is a thread that talked about the Ride Str8 as several were working through a group purchase of the device.  The discussion led up to and through the purchase so included some ride results too.

I think that's a personal choice. If it were just me I pobably wouldn't buy it but since I ride two up 90% of the time I'm strongly considering it. If it ever got away from me and I hurt someone else?  [smiley=confused5.gif] :'( [smiley=confused5.gif]

Don't know about the Ride Str8 but I have a True-Track and wouldn't ride a rubber mount without one. Takes a little re-learning since it tends to make your rear brakes a lot more active than you're used to (ie:you'll lock em up a couple of times at first)  but the difference in the way the rear of the bike carves through corners instead of looping around them has to be felt to be understood. Also, it seems to cut down on drift on rain grooved highways here in Cal.  Hope that helps  ;)

Er Uh.......what Spider said about True-Track.

It makes a difference, and once you adjust to the difference in braking. Both vendors seem decent, and of course know the +'s & -'s of each others products.
Will down at True Track is responsive and that makes a difference.

To those of you that are familiar with both, do you know if either is compatable with a center stand?

MJZ,

The Tru-Trac cannot be used with the center stand, since they both mount to the "dog bone" frame cross brace.

I'm confused  Not saying I'm right and you're wrong, so bear with me as I walk through this.  I thought a center stand bolted to the front of the frame under the front motor mount. The True-Track does indeed bolt to the cross member under the transmission which is about a foot from the front of the motor. Also I didn't think you could mount a center stand on any of our 103 cid CVO bikes because of the oil cooler brkt.  Please explain
