While I bought the Convertible partly for its quick detach shield/NAV/speaker setup, the reality is that I rarely take trips long enough to justify the use of the NAV and I have come to realize that keeping the NAV on the bike to play music is not worth the effort for a 30 min spin around town.  I might feel differently if the NAV was a conduit to my iPhone.  I also find the whole setup to be very heavy and I can detect differences in how the bike handles with it installed.

Is anyone using a regular quick detach windshield without all the electronics, H-D brand or otherwise?
