OK.  Usually I'd be one of the guys to answer this, but i haven't found anything yet.

On the car mount for the Zumo, there is a USB connector on one side.  The auto mount uses its own power cable, which turns on the audio speaker (which by the way, works as a speakerphone without a headset - I found this out by accident).  So my question is....has anyone found a use for the USB connector?  I plugged it into a cell phone charger and that didn't do anything.  Maybe it's for data if you don't want to take the Zumo out of the car to transfer but that seems dumb.  Thanks for any info in advance!

The optional antenna, charger and data cable all use the mini USB connector.

OK...I finally got everything mounted, using my old RAM mount that I had mounted to the handlebar for the 2620.  I love it, and it wired in beautifully.  Sound quality is great!  It nicely interrupts the 4GB of MP3s that I installed with directions.  No whining like wiring in the audio on the 2620.  Nice unit!  I look forward to getting it out on the road (Salt is just disappearing from rain, woo hoo!)

I was looking around and planning on getting a zumo 550, I stumbled on this in my travels. http://razorbiker.com/zumo/viewtopic.php?t=339

Besure you get an extended warrenty on your unit. It might just be the rush (MFG) to fill the market .

I also Copied this Connection info from the same site:

FYI the site for the zumo forum has grown so fast, that they now have a new web site.

http://www.zumoforums.com/zumo/

Lots of good info on the site if anyone is thinking about the Zumo 550

Enjoy, John
