I wanted to post about an issue with the tour pack on my 13 ultra. First off when I picked up the bike from the dealer I noticed that the clear coat was peeling from the bottom part of the tour pack lid. No problem, dealer ordered me another one and it was replaced at another dealer closer to where I live. I get the bike home and notice that the right side of the passenger backrest seamed loose. Upon closer inspection I find that the plastic mounting bracket is broken. My first thought was that the tech was responsible. I returned the bike and the service mgr and tech looked at it and they of course said that it was ok when he installed it. Bottom line is they have ordered me a new backrest as it is all one piece. My question is has anyone had an issue with the backrest bracket which mounts to the tour pack lid breaking?

Didn't have that issue, but did have other minor delivery issues like the headlight seal was loose, dull clear coat and splotching on the tourpak lid and tank, and the tourpak rack wasn't chromed properly (gold under color by the letters).  Minor stuff that the dealership fixed / replaced no problems.  Not surprised by your findings though - wish the finished product was inspected a little closer before delivery, but all taken care of now.
