Redline Heavy Shockproof
« on: October 17, 2006, 08:09:06 AM »

Just chenged trans fluid to Redline Heavy Shockproof>>> Wow, shifts nice and smooth,.goes into gear eaiser I noticed that right away...any reason NOT ot use this product in my "05???? When I changed the fluid I noticed some cuttings on the magnetic plug. I would of thought that at 15,000 there shouldn't have been any or very little. I'm curious to see what it looks like next change. Thanks Greg

No reason not to change to Redline HD Shockproof in your 05 Tranny, also look at putting Redline MTL in your primary.

Been using it for years.

I use either Redline HD Shockprook or the Amzoil Severe Gear in my tranny.  MUCH better than the Syn3 junk...

I'm the same as Geezer with the Shockproof and MTL..  Just monitor the shavings as you stated.  A few would probably be normal.

WalMart Super Center in the motorcycle/auto section or direct from Zippers.  Zippers usually is about .50 cheaper.

Not sure about price comparisons but Summit Racing is a RedLine vendor and of course they're huge and available everywhere at www.summitracing.com .

Another online resource for the Redline Products is CDOC. Luckily for me they are local and was the only place I found that had the Redline products I needed. I too am using the Heavy Duty Shockproof (Tranny) and MTL (Primary).

My HD dealer installs Redline in the trannys.

How do I put a quote in the reply.  Very frustrated.

Another  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] vote.  Been using Shockproof HD in four of our Harleys so far with really excellent results. Dealer here also offers it as alt to Syn3.

Exactly which products/viscosity from Redline do you guys recommend for tranny and primary?
I can get it locally at Autozone and Advance autopoart.  The Redline site has a dealer locator.  Wonderful place the Internet, thanks Al Gore!
