Have never found the Sawzall to be as cathartic, uplifting or fulfilling as the BFH...

See one thing I don't like in that image.  At least I don't like it if what I'm seeing is what I think I'm seeing.

Is that a pressure cap that's unserviceable without some significant disassembly?

I'm thinking that the "latches" are no longer latches, but strictly hinges.  And it's about f'ing time...

My leather tour pack on my 07 SEULTRA would not open.  The latch froze & could not be picked.  So the dealer service dept. used a Sawzall on it.  Very cool, & I got a new leather TP later.

 ;D

HD Part No. SQL014MK549 $@1,249.95 - Lower fairing monkey option to open formerly unopenable radiator cap that is not really a radiator cap but it probably is even though we do not say that is what it is.  Must be compatible with HD upper fairing monkey Part SQU014MK550 $1,449.95, or you will have a monkey fight on your hands.

HD Special Liquid DuoCoolant - $87 per 1 oz. container (optional).

the pressure cap appears to be very similar to what is on MOST vehicles and you only service the coolant thru the bottle...doesn't seem to be as big of a concern as some are making it

That would be my impression.

Cap should not have to come until refilling the system for a leak or service. Then it would be the bottle.

The fill point is obviously right there next to the pressure cap.  So it's not something you'd often need access too.  At least not until that time a few years from now when it's started leaking when you're two days from home and don't have tools with you to disassemble the lower fairing to change a stupid pressure cap.

Don't think they sourced some decent Stant cap or other such thing?  Wait until the chrome SE radiator cap shows up on the P&A site.

"Harley part # BR549 Chrome SE High Pressure Cap" for the Twin Cool alternative (because we at Harley we don't say 'water') cooling system.  Special Neodymium "Screamin Eagle" script to build that special high mileage looking patina on your precious bar hopper.  Also see special SE radiator cap rag to keep from burning your fingers and special SE dictionary for the list of appropriate words to say when you do.  Fortunately the SE Dictionary is a highly discretionary part as by the time you disassemble enough chit to get to the original equipment pressure cap for disassembly the system will have cooled down.  MSRP $64.95."

I guess some folks won't be removing their lowers anymore :nixweiss: Unless they come out with the quick disconnect and plug kit. ;D but that might cancel your warranty
