are people happy with the sound of the SD 2.25 cores without packing in them? thinking of removing mine this weekend

I run the DX with 2.25 and no packing, love it. I saved the packing in case I didn't like it, threw it out a month later.

so pulled out the packing today on the 2.25 SD cores......people say it sounds tinny....not the SD! tone changes very little at best... still has a deep tone great sound at idle and when you hit the gas forget it ....sounds killer!!! oh and when cruising or on the highway it's just as quiet as with the packing in.
I had 1000 miles on the cores and the packing half burnt off and the other half bunched up at the end....so with the packing out I have my performance back!!
thanks Steve from Fullsac just what I was looking for!!! best of both worlds....great sound at idle and throttle, but quiet on the highway!!!
