S&S Air Cleaner question

Being a newbe to the CVO world, I call upon the knowledgable folks here to help me with a question.

I have this below pictured S&S Air Cleaner (#106-2091) I took off my 2011 Road Glide Ultra.  I would love to be able to put it on the new Ultra CVO and S&S's website does not say anything about the filter fitting the bike.  I called S&S this afternoon and all the tech told me it will not fit and said he doesn't know why but that is what they were told.  He kept talking about changes to the engines but as far as I have read the CVO engines are the same for 2014 as they were 2011-2013.

When I compare the intakes from both bikes they look to be the same...they have the same throttle body diameter, same bolt hole configurations into the heads/throttle body, etc.  The only thing I see different is the below highlighted bracket that is on my 11 RGU but not the CVO.  Could that be the difference?

I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of change here because I've had the S/E stage 1 A/C on back order for three weeks for a 2014 SG Special.  The dealer is even wondering what's causing the delay.  I'm supposed to hear from the dealer today.  -We'll see.

There are changes to the 2014 S/E  aircleaner kits.  They have more parts.  I just had mine installed yesterday.
They are not the same as the pre '14 kits.

On the 103 yes, but the 110s are unchanged for 14.

Can't you take the one off you want replaced to see if they line up? It can't be that hard, plus as one has already mentioned it may need a little modification to fit properly.  I rarely believe what the guys at the dealership tell me.  What do you have to loose in trying it?
