I'd be curious to see how these compare to the Truck Lite Phase 7's.  I purchased the complete set with passing lamps from Discount Fleet, but am not a fan of the black divider in the Phase 7.  The improvement is worth it, though.  However, if you can get close to the same performance just by throwing in an LED bulb in the halogen housings, that would be a lot cheaper and in my opinion, much more aesthetically pleasing.

Am watching this thread with anticipation they work well.  I like my phase 7 but if these work, would be just as happy having these in stock twin bulb HD light that came with Ginger as it's just sitting in my basement, in a box...

One thing that would put a damper on this is the Custom D. site specifically states these bulbs are not DOT approved... :(

Just talked to C.D. and these bulbs ARE NOT recommended for motorcycles. They are very bright but don't project enough distance to make it safe. I was told NOT to spend for a new headlight system yet, they were working on a new type LED bulb that was going to blow the others away. Should be ready by early Spring 2014. So for us that love the look of the stock CVO light.......theres hope!!

that's weird I talked with them and they said they are a direct replacement for OEM and are fine for motorcycles even the picture shows them on a motorcycle not a car.... the reason they are not dot approved is because they are one bulb just like the bi zeon HID sets they are not dot approved unless you do the HID low beam and a second halogen blub for the high beam. haven't had time to put them in yet ...I will keep everyone posted.....the H4 for the motorcycle is 39 watts

Yea RR, make sure you keep us updated. Most of the staff was at Biketoberfest, who knows I could have been talking to the cleaning crew. The young lady I talked to sounded knowledgeable, would really like some 1st hand info from a member, I called to place an order...all she had to do was take it?????

will do ....the only thing I can see being a problem is the small black bar and shield logo on the front of each headlight lens on the Road glide! might stop the main beam a bit...I will keep everyone posted

ended up talking with CD and you were right...they said that these don't project as much as the stock bulbs...so I cancelled the order
