So, how fast is 299 Kmph?
« on: October 14, 2013, 07:44:00 PM »

This guy is at redline for a good portion of this trip and he just can't seem to nudge it over 300!

Some folks don't value their lives much!

100 kilometers is roughly 60 Miles. Soooo, at 180 MPHish.

If the math is wrong it's still wicked fast.

299 kph is as fast as that bike's speedo will display Mark.  Going by the tach he topped it a little though.

Have only driven there twice.  It's a bipolar experience.  On the main roads the speed limit is seemingly irrelevant.  Going at or just above the limit will have people letting you know it's time to go faster.  On the slower smaller roads, however, they are very judicious and respectful of the speed.  One thing I did appreciate was that all the speed cameras are well marked beforehand.  There are many but no surprises.

Pretty sure it was a Swede that paid that whopping £650,000 speeding fine a couple years ago.  If memory serves the guy was driving in Switzerland though so got hung by their rules.  So... uh... never mind ::) .

Ghost rider. Some cool / crazy / fast / dumb clips from around Stockholm. Or check out the link now when he got "commercialized"  :coolblue:

http://www.streetracersonline.com/videos/ghostrider/

He is not the first Ghost rider, he is the second one. The first one was not Swedish and he is dead.  This guy can also drive the heck out of cars.

I in no way condone this type of riding on the street but he is good.

Judging by the Tach, real close to 190mph.......he will be dead before long if he keeps it up. Hope he bites it alone.

Why do those guys waste their talent on the street? Take it to the track instead!

I was refering more to the car, although the rider is a little crazy to!! A sport bike can zip in and out of traffic(trouble) much easier than a car.

Wow! Crazy fast on public roads, I don't care where it is. 300 KPH = 186MPH. He hit 299 KPH at 13K RPM, couple of times he got up to 13.5K or better so this guy was pushing 200 MPH. Cool to watch but I'll leave that kind of riding to someone else, just hope I don't meet them head-on.

not fishy at all in my opinion.

I once clocked 172 mph according to the GPS and it was not that big of a deal. (Suzuki Hayabusa) But that was on a track, not in traffic. (I would never consider doing this in traffic)

The Hayabusa is technically limited to 300km/h in Europe. It is easy to remove to make the computer think it is in 5th gear to continue reving, cant really think of why I would do it but its was easy  :2vrolijk_21:
