Very nice Chip.  The Ruger 10/22 was my first gun of any type for my 9th birthday.  Still have it today and still love to shoot it.  Mine looks well worn, but loved.

I've had my 10/22 since I was 16. It has had approx. 10,000 rounds run though it, the barrel has some rust from dragging it through the rainy woods, the stock has a ton of scratches but the darn thing never jams and still shoots great today.

Best gun I've ever owned.
