Got my tube of Autosol in the mail. Man that is the best polish I've ever used. Went over the wheels and pipes again. Blinding lol

I was under the impression that autosol is a abresive and should not be used on " perfect " chrome. It's meant to restore dull and oxidized chrome.

I am not sure but suggest that you check the fine print

Thx Pete! I sure hope I never need one of those! What kind of temps do you have before using it and after?

Haven't ran the bike in over a week. Had frost this morning outside and dipstick said 107. Before if I were to check at that outside temp I wouldn't get a reading off the LCD lol. So it's doing its job well. And at only 100 watts, it's not a big juice hog.

I'll look into it. My pipes are stainless so they have a brushed look up close anyway. My wheels, 08 HD chrome, so they're great from afar and this really brought out some shine. Didn't do any engine casings. Used rimwax on them. Thanks for the info though. Was thinking about doing some of the engine tomorrow because it says it leaves a protective coating.

.

Let me know how the digital dip stick and temp gauge works.  I have been looking at those for a while.

I installed some new grips by Arlen Ness.  Changed most of the motor bolts for polished stainless steel.   I had to take the tank off to do it, i was slightly intimedated. But it was really easy.  So while i was under there i ran my Power Vision tuner cable.  I also removed my header pipe in preperation for my Clarity cam cover.  So next weekend i will install the cam and derby cover and some Arlen Ness floor boards.

Let me know how the digital dip stick and temp gauge works.  I have been looking at those for a while.

Was just showing what the block heater brought the engine temp up to from it being pretty, pretty, pretty cold outside(sorry was watching Curb all night). As for the dipstick, I've had it since late 07. Dealer gave it to me with the purchase of my bike. I've never had a problem with it. I just finally changed the battery in it last week after all this time. Now I'm sure there are plenty who will say they're junk and they break, but I either got lucky or they weren't. Who knows  :nixweiss:  I think it comes with a 1 year warranty, so if its bound to break I hope it would go before then...

Went out for a ride today with some coworkers and after we had a filling lunch we all headed to our respective homes, I did make one extra stop along the way -- seems I was missing a very important seasonal accessory.

Like the title says, what did you do to or on your CVO today?

Florida in August sucks when it is 86 and 90% humidity, however we ride all year long, so this beats out the heat in August and July. Rode from Tarpon Springs to Ocala yesterday, Went to a car show in a farm field. Over 300 muscle cars, antiques and plain old rats.I ate a zeppoli and drank apple cider and rode home in the sun at 78 degrees. 220 miles in total and a slight sun burned face. I certainly do not miss living in Northern NJ this time of year!

Beautiful weather in NE Florida today so took the Ultra out for a nice ride down to St Augustine. Nice ride along the ocean coming home. Best riding of the year right now.
