Went for a "practice run" with bike loaded down for the trip next week.  Also installed and tested the headsets on the helmet I never wear. Bike handled great fully loaded.

What I did on my CVO today.....rode to work and looked at the new 2015's before the morning meeting....decided thare ain't nuttin that can pry Ginger out of my hands this model year....went outside, looked at my 2012 and had a really big smile on my face.....will have that same smile on the way home this afternoon.....
I like my 2012 and all the fun/issues that came with her.  It's why I spent the $30K or so in the first place.  My plan in March 2012 was to keep it for many, many years.  After 2 1/5 years and 25K miles, nothing has changed my mind.
Ride safe, fun and keep it between the ditches...

UPDATE:  just saw the blue and orange 15 SESG. Sho b purdy. But nope, keeping my 12 :2vrolijk_21:

Got drenched in a monsoon last time out, so gave my '14 SERK it's first bath.

Then put on two coats of carnauba (man, those Agitator wheels may look great,
but are a pain in the ...'hands'...to clean!) and took her for a couple hours' spin.

The bride doesn't understand how a good detailing can take HOURS!
Maybe she's jealous?

Today, I wait for the dealer to fix my CVO, the heated hand grip quit working, it also lost the bolts holding the head pipe on, and it need a 30K service. I hope to pick it up this weekend and check out the new bikes.

Well, After getting my 2012 home from Las Vegas, I detailed her completely. What a BEAUTY! My ONLY complaint after 700 miles is that the after market mufflers are a bit too loud for my tastes. I prefer a quiet rumble to a dull ROAR :D  I would like to TRADE these muffler for stock HD CVO mufflers in similar (immaculate) condition. These have 3000 miles on them. Any takers?

Could you put a different baffle in these pipes? Maybe that would do the trick to tone it down a bit, vs. changing out the whole exhaust.

Yesterday - I rode it 679 miles to the Upper Peninsula of MI and back to Detroit.  Also had just picked up the powdercoated windshield hardware and put it together for the ride.

Used mine to requal my Navy required MSF course. No complaints from me... Kinda nice to get paid to ride your bike.  :pepper:

That may be a solution, but I am also a stickler for STOCK and would be happier if the bike were 100% original. These mufflers are beautiful, and do sound really good, but they are not stock and too noisy for my tastes, so quieting them with different baffles would resolve one issue, but not the other.

Had the dealer busting my balls that I need to pay for additional labor on a warranty issue. Not impressed! We'll see how well they treat me tomorrow.
