Matter and Antimatter

While scrolling through the images of that amazing tribute to Displacing Air, I came upon this image, and for some reason I began to wonder about what an encounter between Matter and Antimatter would look like.

I thought that it might look something like the combustion chambers of a hopped-up Twin Cam, burning 85 octane gasoline, under maximum load, in 120 degree heat through the California desert. Then I thought, that is ridiculous, they don’t sell 85 octane in California, besides, these guys look pretty relaxed!  ;D
