Aerostich
« on: December 20, 2013, 09:16:25 AM »

I just got my Aerostich as an anniversary gift.  It is the one piece Roadcrafter Light.  This really is a very nice and convienent suit.  Probably not the typical HD gear, but it sure beats everything else I have owned.

I have the Aerostich Darien and love it.  I use it for longer rides.

I have a Stich and the Darien gear. Great during the colder season. Use the Stich for commuting to work. It really does less than 15 seconds to get it on or off.

Great gear. (And made right here in Duluth)

The suits are basically waterproof and give great crash protection, but aren't insulated. For cold weather you'd need to wear heated gear or warm clothing underneath them.

I've got a pair of their AD-1 overpants.  They're absolutely waterproof, but don't do anything for the cold or the warm.  They're downright uncomfortable below 45 or above 85.

Here is the pictures of Roadcrafter Aerostich.

So yesterday I took ride and it was pretty cold.  I only had long johns on under the suit and I did not get cold.  The only thing that did get cold were my fingers and toes.  I have ordered a heated vest and gloves, and should have my lower fairings on soon.  I would still consider myself a fair weather rider but year round now.  I do not like to get the bike in the nasty weather other than that I am ready to ride.
