Changing to Stretch Bags and Rear Fender
« on: January 26, 2014, 04:26:42 PM »

I am thinking about changing to stretch fenders and bags on my 2011 CVO Road Glide Custom and was wondering if I would need to change original tour pak bracket. If so, would type bracket is recommended and would a detachable be desirable. I would be nice to see some pics.

That will depend on the fender you use whether or not you can use your OEM brackets. Detachable or not is up to you. I prefer a detachable as I don't always need the TP on the bike.

2011 is the Ultra correct?

There is a set of bags and a rear fender in the for sale section from a 13 that would fit your bike and allow you to reuse your OEM TP brackets.

Wash.,

Road Glide Customs don't have an "original tour pak bracket" and come with stretched bags.   If you is an '11, it must be an Ultra which do have such brackets.

Heres a pic of mine which has Fat Daddy rear fender and Milwaukee Bagger full use stretched bags. The tour pack has quick realese HD hardware no other Mods needed. The factory CVO paint matched to perfection.
Good Luck
