Sometimes paybacks are a Bitch!!! I have a good friend that lives in bama and he checks our weather all the time
and gives me chit every time it gets cold or snowy!! Had fun with him last night!

Wow, it was 71 here yesterday. Crazy weather!

My first & last CVO, Scarlett, arrived 6-1-12. I always remember my mom while riding.  She had smarts with a spirit of independence & adventure. "You Gotta LIVE!", was her motto; her favorite color red, and she loved BLING.

It was 60 here on Monday, but we got just over a fluffy inch of snow fall. It's all white looking out our window!

Art - I have friends who never made it home tonight... After four hours stuck in no moving traffic on the road, some of them returned to their offices, one was picked up by a friend where they were stranded and is spending the night there, and one hasn't made it home and is at a Marriott hoping for a room. My wife left work at 12:15 and it took her 3 1/2 HOURS on GA 400 to get home today. She beat the worst of it.

We got an honest 3" here at the Badger Den, and it's going to freeze hard overnight. Ain't nobody needin' to be goin' NOWHAR tomorrow mornin'!

Ken

I think it's funny how the meteorologists totally blew the forecast, saying most of the precip would be south of Atlanta prior to the event. Today they are chest thumping and claiming they nailed it. If only I could be so wrong and then convince everyone I was right, just imagine what I could get away with...Hell I would probably qualify to be in politics!

Back in the mid 80's, I had some equipment being installed in a large manufacturing plant about an hour south of Nashville.  Several thousand employee plant...  One night it snowed, maybe an inch or two at most.  I got up as usual and drove to the plant - no big deal at all.  Roads were strangely empty though.  What I found when I arrived at the plant was my 5 guys hard at work, a crew of riggers from Michigan hard at work, and other than a security guard and a couple of maintenance guys, no one else!  Turns out it was understood in the community that the rule was - if it snows at all, stay home.  After watching the video footage from Atlanta last evening, I completely understand the reason for the rule!   :P

We were in Houston last weekend during an ice storm. The best one was passing a Toyota Camry going 20mph and the driver was wearing a full face helmet.  I never saw so many cars sideways. Now I understand!!!

You're on, but this one was 8 degrees and 8 inches of that nasty white stuff on the driveway.

On the way to work Wednesday morning. Drove all over Tuesday night but could not get around the stalled / crashed so after 5 hours turned around and came into ATL to stay with friends.
YES it was only that deep...
Peachtree was eight lanes of solid ice.

Oh yeah, 27 year old Jeep. Ran fine, heater spews plutonium.
Took coat, gloves and hat off and rode the clutch all over town.
Had chains but never used them.
The Mayor, GA Gov. and DOT are full of it!

Let me re phase this.  It appears I am an excellent driver in snow and ice however walking is another thing.  Went to let my dog out yesterday after work, sun had melted the snow on the roof, it dripped water on our waning which in turn dripped onto back step landing.  Opened door dog goes down 4 steps, I on the other hand do the slip slide and slap down the steps.  Man what a trip one second looking at the yard then the sky then laying there thinking wtf just took place.  Good news is I still bounce well at my age but do tend to bruise and get sore.  Spent the day laying on the coach feeling much better.  Should be as good as possible by Monday.

Sorry Chip no photo happened too fast LOL
