Don’t need a bike?  To hell you say!  What about an overpriced ping-pong table!  Excuse me – Table Tennis Set!   ;)

The opening day of 2015 Daytona Beach Bike Week is a BUST and I ain’t talkin’ about that kind either!  The weather has sucked ALL DAY AND NIGHT!  Temperatures have been in the low 50’s, raining and wind gusts up 30+ mph.  The power went out on Main Street in some places.  This place is shut down!   :o

Many of the outdoor bars are empty or closed.  Most businesses / vendors have closed.  And I am talkin’ about 6:30pm closed!  My motel had 40+ cancellations tonight alone.  The female bar maids work on tips and most of them have left too!  No dancers at Froggy’s!!!!!   :(

No tellin’ how many millions of dollars were lost today!   :'(

The good news is there are a number of days left and anything can happen!   :2vrolijk_21:

Jock I went by Daytona around 6 pm last night on 95. Had to spend a week in Marathon fishing :P  Traffic heading into Daytona seemed heavy. It was one truck/trailer after another. It was that way all the way to rocky Mount NC where I got off 95. Maybe the traffic will get heavier.

Hope ya had some luck on the trip!  Yeah the fair weather friends stood out on the first day.  Can't say I blame them.  It was cold and wet!

Enjoy

So it’s Saturday with overcast skies but slightly warmer!  Traffic is beginning to enter into town now!  Hope they make sure and stop by the Welcome Center!
