On Friday Andy and I had breakfast at Denny’s in the hotel and then took a ride from Beatty, NV into Death Valley, CA to Furnace Creek and Badwater.  Badwater is 282 feet below sea level. Furnace Creek was 95 degrees around noon.

Later we stopped for a steak at a casino just across the Nevada state line.

I used to haul hazardous waste to Beatty in the early 80s, been thru death valley 100s of times, I thank you guys very much for posting the pics, I miss those wide open spaces.   :2vrolijk_21:   :2vrolijk_21:

Andy it was April 13th, 2008 that we rode the same ride up over Hwy. 88, down 395 and into Death Valley and Beatty.  In Don's photos above, that looks to be the same hotel where we stayed....the water in the pool was 32F and I convinced you to just jump in.  Memories brother!
